5 Ingredients Bread

Quarantine week 3.

If your bakery is far away, or you just hate to waste your time in the queues to the bakery like myself, this is a must do recipe for you. Bread of only 5 ingredients. Easy to do, cheaper than the purchased one and most importantly much healthier. I propose the basis recipe for yeast dough, you can moderate however you like. In this recipe you can use a whole grain flour, or normal one. You can add as well nuts, seeds, roasted onion, fig or cranberries.

What you need:

  • 500 g flour
  • 330 ml warm water
  • dry instant yeast ( package is usually 7g and it is ok)
  • 2 table spoons of oil
  • 1 tea spoon of salt

Mix flour, yeast, salt and water. Knead until you receive smooth, elastic dough. Place the dough in the boil sprinkle with flour, put in the dark and warm place to rise for around 30 minutes. After this time the dough should double the size. Add the oil and knead again for moment until the dough will soak the oil up. Put into the form and let it rise again for around 15 minutes. Sprinkle a little bit of water and cover the bread for baking. Bake in 220 degrees for 30 minutes, after that remove the cover and bake another 15 minutes until it gets beautiful brown color.

Tip 1: When you use whole grain flour the consistence might be dense. Me, personally I like it, but I know people who don’t. The best bread flour type is from type 605 up to 1050.

Tip 2: If the dough is too dry, try to add 1-2 table spoons of water.

Tip 3: You can try to slash the bread before baking. It will get this beautiful bread appearance.

Tip 4: You can use any kind of form you like: round one, bread one, square one. At your convenience. I am sure it will be delicious and look fantastic.
